Peter W. Daley, Norwood Native, Dies at 35

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Ginley Funeral Home in Franklin.

Peter W. Daley, 35, of Franklin died on Aug. 17 in his home following a long illness.

Born in Norwood, Dec. 7, 1977, the son of Stephen P. and Nancy J. (Moir) Daley, of Franklin he was a lifelong Franklin resident. Mr. Daley was a 1996 graduate of Franklin High School.

Peter had served in the United States Coast Guard for the past 13 years retiring last December due to his health as an operation Specialist First Class (OS1).

He was an avid sports fan who loved the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. In addition to his parents his survived by his brother Stephen P. Daley, Jr. of Franklin and his sister Elizabeth DeLise of Franklin.

He is also survived by his beloved nephews Carter and Alex DeLise, and many other loving family members and friends. His funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. in Franklin at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Neuroblastoma Research Dund C/C Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave. NY.NY. 10065.
