Norwood Obituary: Charles E. Jandrue

Mr. Jandrue was a resident of Norwood and worked as a research chemist at Polaroid for over 40 years.

Charles E. Jandrue, Sr., 82, of Norwood, died Feb. 28, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.

Charles was born in Boston, Nov. 14, 1930, the son of the late Charles E. and Florence (Hunter) Jandrue. He received a B.S. from Boston College and did graduate studies at MIT, served in the US. Army during the Korean conflict and was a research chemist at Polaroid for over 40 years until his retirement.

Charles was the beloved husband of Mary (Sullivan) of Norwood, the loving father of Charles E. Jr. and his wife Suely of Hopkinton, Cathy Jandrue, Richard Jandrue and his wife Patricia, William Jandrue and his wife Heather, all of Norwood, and Carol and her husband Steven Bachofner of Sharon, cherished grandfather of Geoffrey, Charlotte, Robert, Nicholas, Caroline and Ariele, dear brother of Robert Jandrue and his wife Barbara of Southboro and the late Frank Jandrue and his late wife Jeanne. He also leaves many nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 5, at 9:30 AM from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Mar. 4, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles' memory to The Michael J.
