Lobster Truck Crashes Into East Street Bridge, Heavy Train Delays Expected

The crash occurred in Westwood Tuesday morning; find out how trains were affected.

A truck crashed into a Commuter Rail train bridge in Westwood Tuesday morning, causing significant delays to riders of the MBTA's Franklin Line. 

The truck, which was reportedly carrying lobsters, became stuck under the East Street Bridge in Islington and caught fire, according to WHDH. The contents of the truck reportedly spilled onto the roadway and cleanup efforts were underway Tuesday morning, NECN reported.

As a result of the incident, heavy delays are expected until at least 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to the MBTA. Get the latest updates here.
