Man Killed on Norwood Street: Police Investigating

Police are investigating an incident where a Norwood man was killed crossing the street Friday morning.

A man was killed Friday morning after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the street in the area of 850 Pleasant St. Police are holding the release of the victim's name pending notification of the next of kin.

Shortly after their arrival on scene, the Norwood Fire Dept. paramedics declared the 31-year-old male dead. The driver stopped and spoke with the police, according to a report on boston.cbs.local.com.

The Norwood Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team and District Attorney Michael Morrissey's office are investigating.
