Norwood Neighbors Reach Out to Help Family Displaced by Fire

A Facebook page has been created to help the Barbalho family after their home at 1407 Washington St. in Norwood caught fire Monday morning, according to a myfoxboston.com report.

Seven adults and three children, including 2-year-old twin girls, were left homeless because of the fire. Kristy Barbahlo was at home with her daughter when her mother, Cheryl, smelted the fire. Fortunately, everyone was able to get out of the home safely.

The four families affected by the fire lost everything. The American Red Cross was on the scene to lend assistance.

Neighbors, including Steve Merritt of the Norwood Housing Authority, who delivered a bag of gifts, have been reaching out to help the family.

The fire is being investigated.
