(From the Norwood Police Department's Facebook page)

Norwood police officers William Fundora and Anthony Lopes were part of the Metro-SWAT team that arrested a suspected bank robber in Quincy, Thursday, Dec. 19.

Brian Kalili 32, of Quincy, was being sought in a robbery at a Wellesley Bank Dec. 15 and was held up in a Quincy home in Thursday in a nine-hour standoff. Detective David Eysie was part of NORPAC Task Force, who assisted the Wellesley detectives in the investigation.

According to the Norwood Police, Kalil was arrested in 2005 by Detective Paul Ryan, while he attempted to break-in to Wine Press on Route 1.

In a Boston Globe story, it was reported Kalil has a lengthy arrest record. He plead not guilty to the charges of unarmed robbery and larceny of $250 in Norfolk Superior Court. He is scheduled to be back in Dedham District Court Tuesday for a dangerous hearing.

On their Facebook page, the Norwood Police congratulated Wellesley Police BCI, NORPAC and Metro-SWAT on job well done.
