On Tuesday, Norwood Police congratulated Dispatcher Kathy Martin on her retirement after 27 years of service.
Police said on their Facebook page how Martin did the job for the department longer than anyone ever has.
"In many ways dispatching is the most important job. In many ways it is the toughest job, often the most thankless," police said on their Facebook page. "We wish her many years of health and happiness."
