Norwood Police Log: Hit and Run, Counterfeit Bill Used at McDonald's

Monday, Dec. 10

6:48 a.m. - Caller at Dean Street and Boston-Providence Highway reported a motor vehicle accident. Officers reported one vehicle fled the scene. Officers checked area, unable to locate vehicle. One vehicle towed from the scene, police filed a report.

6:26 p.m. - Caller reported a minor pedestrian accident in the lot at Hannaford's on Walpole Street, including employee. Information exchanged before officers' arrival. Police filed a report.

8:52 p.m. - Caller at Mercer on Investor's Way reported a suspicious male walking around with a golf club. Responding officers could not locate male.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

10:43 a.m. - Caller at McDonald's reported $20 looks to be counterfeit. Subject left without getting change from 20. Police issued a BOLO for the suspect vehicle. Officer Flanagan located the vehicle by Home Depot. Arrest made.

4:00 p.m. - Caller reported suspicious activity on Paula Road. Two cars parked on the street, male and a female met. Officers issued one citation for Marijuana possesion.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

8:02 a.m. - Foreman for Columbia Construction on Boston-Providence Highway reported breaking and entering on construction site. Police filed a report.

11:22 a.m. - Caller at Building 19 3/4 on Boston-Providence Highway reported shoplifting. Officer got positive ID on female and served her with a disinvite from the business.
