Norwood Police Log: Assault and Battery, OUI Arrests Over the Weekend

Thursday, September 6

1:12 p.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle at Home Depot on Boston-Providence Highway, items stolen the previous day. Police filed a report.

4:19 p.m. - Caller at the Balch School on Washington St. reported youths arguing. As a result, police arrested two juveniles (13 and 14) for assault and battery.

7:33 p.m. - Caller on Davis Ave. reported an assault. Officers on scene requested Norwood Fire, and issued a BOLO for the suspect's vehicle. Suspect turned herself in at the station and was placed under arrest. Police charged Tracie A. Lomberto, of Norwood, with assault and battery, and use of motor vehicle without authority.

12:48 p.m. - Caller reported assault by a juvenile at Norwood High School. Safety officer to file charges.

4:15 p.m. - Caller reported erratic operation of a motor vehicle on Washington St. As a result, police located the suspect vehicle and arrested Charlotte Nunes, of Norwood, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

5:31 p.m. - Caller reported kid on bike hit by motor vehicle on Ash Rd. Norwood Fire transported the victim with his parents. Police filed a report.

Saturday, September 8

1:43 a.m. - Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop at Stone Cir. As a result, police arrested Eric T. Butler, of Providence, R.I., for operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, refusing to identify himself to police, and unlicenced operation of a motor vehicle.

8:15 a.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Union St. Stated window smashed and catalytic converter stolen. Police filed a report.

8:33 a.m. - Caller reported larceny on Washington St. Stated medication missing. Police filed a report.

9:33 a.m. - Caller reported rock thrown through window at Custom Art Framing on Central St. Police filed a report.

5:40 p.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle at St. Timothy's Church. BOLO issued to cars. Police filed a report.

Sunday, September 9

11:56 a.m. - Caller reported firecracker/smoke bomb still smoldering on front lawn of Chapel St. residence. Responding officers reported fireworks, possibly thrown from passing car. Filed a report.

6:28 p.m. - Caller reported larceny from a residence on Tremont St. Police filed a report.
