Norwood Police Log: Breaking and Entering Arrest, Assault on a Police Officer

Wednesday, Dec. 5

2:16 p.m. - Caller on Dean St. reported screaming and yelling next door. Possible domestic. Officers responded, neighbor reported the parties left in a van prior to the officers' arrival.

5:08 p.m. - Caller at CVS on Nahatan St. reported a shoplifting just occurred. Police located party, placed Marlene R. Baiona, of Norwood, under arrest for shoplifting by asportation (third offense), and receiving stolen property less than $250.

10:11 p.m. - Caller on Pleasant St. reported breaking and entering to home. Police filed a report.

Thursday, Dec. 6

12:46 a.m. - Caller on Plymouth Dr. reported he heard a bang and saw that a vehicle in the parking lot had been struck. Officers responded, filed a report.

6:34 a.m. - Caller on Edgehill Dr. reported her son saw someone in her car who then fled across the street. Several officers responded. After searching the area, suspected party was located and identified by one of the witnesses. As a result, police arrested Jean Gasner, of Norwood, for breaking and entering to a vehicle.

7:14 a.m. - Caller stated a male party followed her off highway to Work Out World. She waited in her car until he left then went inside. When she left and got home two of her tires were nearly flat. Police filed a report.

2:59 p.m. - Motor vehicle accident reported at Washington and Everett streets. Two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

4:48 p.m. - Caller at Center Auto Body reported an issue with a customer. Male also reported possible 209A (restraining order) violation. Officers investigated and placed Eugene Victor Mclean, of Norwood, for resisting arrest and assault and battery on a poilce officer.

8:34 p.m. - Caller on Everett Ave. reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. Police responded, filed a report.

Friday, Dec. 7

1:04 a.m. - Party in lobby of Police Station stated a male in Napper Tandy's threw a beer in his face and wanted to fight him. He then decided he didn't want to pursue. Report filed.
