Norwood Police Log: Car Into Tree, B&E Interrupted

Tuesday, Jan. 22

4:35 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported her parked, unoccupied vehicle struck while in the Norwood Hospital satellite lot on Guild Street. Police filed a report.

7:18 p.m. - Caller reported vehicle into a tree at Fales Avenue. As a result, police arrested Ellen M. Dooley, of Norwood, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

1:22 p.m. -  Property owner reported theft from a storage unit on Washington Street. Unknown time period. Officer responded and waited and the owner did not show.

2:50 p.m. - Caller reported hit and run to vehicle parked in the lot at the Norwood Airport. Police filed a report.

7:30 p.m. - Caller on Wheelock Avenue reported resident interrupted breaking and entering. Canton K9 assisted. Units checked numerous areas and conducted a canvass of area residents. Officers filed a report.
