Norwood Police Log: Car Stolen, One Arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident on Rte. 1

Monday, Oct. 15

8:33 a.m. - Resident on Lincoln St. reported having trouble with teens in the area. Police filed a report.

11:14 a.m. - Caller at Central GMC on Boston-Providence Highway reported a stolen motor vehicle, a 1998 blue Volvo. Police filed a report.

11:45 a.m. - As the result of a detectives' investigation, police arrested three parties for conspiracy to violate drug law in the parking lot near Hannaford Market on Walpole St.

1:08 p.m. - Caller reported 25 markers missing from graves at Highland Cemetary. Police filed a report.

5:04 p.m. - Caller on Dean St. reported after going outside for a cigarette, returned to find laptop missing from apartment. Police filed a report.

5:46 p.m. - Caller at A&J Automotive reported female is shouting obscenities at her. As a result, police arrested Alice P. Groves, of Norwood, for violating a harassment prevention order, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

9:03 a.m. - Officer reported pedestrian accident at Dean St. and Boston-Providence Highway. Minor injuries reported. Police filed a report.

10:47 a.m. - Caller reported a multiple vehicle crash on Boston-Providence Highway. As a result, police arrested one for leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.

6:58 p.m. - Caller reported a disturbance on Neponset St. Suspect left in a vehicle. Officers located suspect and placed him under arrest for assault and battery.
