Norwood Police Log Dec. 10-11: Back-to-Back Hit and Run Accidents

The following are incidents from the Norwood police log for Tuesday, Dec. 10.

8:30 a.m. Motor vehicle accident in left turn lane north-bound on Boston-Providence Highway. Papers were exchanged.

8:30 a.m. Complaint of motor vehicle at St. Catherine of Sienna School, Nahatan Street, Convent side. Vehicle belongs to Railroad Avenue resident. A message was left from them to move or get permission to park there.

10:43 a.m. Resident reported someone may have comprised personal computer. Officer reported this was a scam, but no information was compromised.

1:19 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway. Papers were exchanged.

2:21 p.m. Illegal trash disposal of painting debris left on Upland Woods property reported. Officer reported no items with anything to identify the owner.

3:43 p.m. Cross Street resident wanted it logged that wire to decorative reindeer on front lawn has been cut two times in the last week or so. No aware of any problems with anyone.

Wednesday, Dec. 11
2 a.m. Complaint of dog parking for third night in a row and concerned for its welfare if it is outside. Officer located house on Juniper Drive and spoke to owner.

7:19 a.m. Complaint of motor vehicle parked everyday at the corner of Nahatan and Fulton Street, blocking the view of oncoming traffic. Officer reported vehicle is parked 20-30 feet away from the intersection, causing no traffic problems.

9:06 a.m. Motor vehicle accident reported on Boston-Providene Highway. Papers exchanged before officers arrived.

11:35 a.m. Motor vehicle accident reported at Neponset Street and East Cross Street. Fire department and state police responded.

3:35 p.m. Walpole police department received a call for a pursue snatching at McDonald's on Route 1.

4:53 p.m. Wires around pole at ground level on Cottage and Washington Streets.

4:57 p.m. Hit and run at McDonald's on Broadway Street. Officer located all parties and information was exchanged.

5:04 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway. Vehicle towed.

5:05 p.m. Hit and run at McDonald's on Broadway Street, Officer located all parties and driver was unaware she struck the car. Minor damage was reported and papers were exchanged.

5:29 p.m.  Motor vehicle accident at Morse Street-Boston-Providence Highway. Vehicle towed.

5:36 p.m. A report of a white male with "teardrop" tattoo passing a counterfeit $20 at Guardino Pastry Shop, Washington Street, Norwood. He was last seen in a dark Explorer on Washington Street.

5:40 p.m. A deer was struck in traffic on University Avenue. Officer reported the deer was gone and vehicle was damaged but could still be driven.
