Norwood Police Log Dec. 27-29: Two Different Motor Vehicle Accidents Reported at Same Time

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log for Dec. 27-28-29.

Friday, Dec. 27:

8:58 a.m. Minor motor accident on Boston-Providence Highway. Drivers exchanged papers before officer arrived.
11:15 a.m. Larceny reported on Washington Street.
11:37 a.m. Motor vehicle accident on Walpole Street.
1:12 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Pendergast Circle.
3:42 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway-Union Street. Subject fled on foot after the collision. Summons issued.
3:53 p.m. A racoon was in driveway on Countryside Lane and wouldn't move when the resident showed up.
4:28 p.m. Officer assisted MCI Norfolk in transporting a prisoner to Norwood Hospital for treatment.
6:45 p.m. Caller reports neighbor backed into their car on Berwick Place. Officer assisted in paper exchange.
9:21 p.m. Noise complaint on Winslow Avenue. Caller reported loud music. Officer spoke to party and music was turned down.

Saturday, Dec. 28:
3:21 a.m. Vehicle hit poll on Railroad Avenue and Prospect Street. Norwood fire department provided transfer.
11:40 a.m. Motor vehicle accident on Mylod Street and Rockhill Street. Don and Wally's towed one vehicle.
5:15 p.m. A report of kids gathering in parking lot at Brake and Alignment, Cedar Street. Officer sent kids along.
5:21 p.m.. A possible sinkhole was reported on Winslow Avenue. Department of public works was notified and handled.

Sunday, Dec. 29:
12:51 a.m. A dark colored pickup truck hit a retaining wall and left the scene. Norwood fire department responded. Police sent out an alert for the vehicle.
1:51 a.m. Party entered house with permission. Arrested Sean P. O'Grady, Oak Street, Westwood, charged with misdemeanor B & E, trespass and placed into protective custody.
12:19 p.m. Caller reported tires were slashed on Neponset Street and East Cross Street.
3:28 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway and Pendergast Circle. Papers were exchanged.
3:28 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway and Morse Street. Fire department was notified and papers were exchanged.
6:03 p.m. Several individuals reportedly walked in and stole a generator at Ocean State Job Lot, Boston-Providence Place Highway.
6:49 p.m. Norwood Printing Center Inc., Central Street reported a broken window.
7:43 p.m. Officers assisted a man in a wheelchair stuck in a ditch at Town Cleaners, Nahatan Street.
