Norwood Police Log Dec. 30: Two Vehicles Broken Into

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log for Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Tuesday, Dec. 31:

7:55 a.m. Officer reported bag of trash in the road at Vernon Street and Washington Street. The department of public works was notified and picked up bag.
10 a.m. A report of two vehicles being broken into at Jack Madden Ford Service Center, Boston-Providence Highway.
10:01 a.m. Shoplifting arrest made at CVS Pharamacy, Nahatan Street. Arrested was Carmel M. Winer, 53, Nathan Lane, Plymouth, charged with shoplifting by asportation and warrant arrest.
12:21 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence-Highway. Officer assisted with paper exchange. Don and Wally's towed as a result from smoke coming from engine area.
12:26 p.m. Female prisoner transported to Dedham District Court.
3:50 p.m. Minor motor vehicle accident at Nahatan Street and West Border Road.
8:20 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Boston-Providence Highway and Nahatan Street. Papers were exchanged and a citation was issued.
11:39 p.m. Officers cleared under age party on Independence Way. Summons were issued.
