Norwood Police Log: Drug Arrest, Juveniles Trespassing on Train Tracks

Thursday, Oct. 11

8:22 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on Dean St. One vehicle towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

12:11 p.m. - Norwood Police assisted the Fire Department on the scene of a dumpster fire at Davis Ave. and Walpole St. NFD put out the fire.

1:12 p.m. - Caller reported a blond female and a black Ford Taurus involved in a drug deal on Hampden Dr. Caller gave a partial plate number then hung up. Police reported an area search negative.

1:12 p.m. - Caller on Walpole St. reported a white male, bald, in his 20's, wearing a blue coat and jeans urinated in the yard. Responding officer spoke with the resident and was unable to locate the suspect.

1:40 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident at Nahatan and Fulton streets. Two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

3:33 p.m. - Caller reported a domestic disturbance between two females in parking lot across from bowling alley at Nahatan and Central streets. Police filed a complaint application against a Bridgewater woman for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Friday, Oct. 12

2:30 p.m. - Detectives initiated a search warrant at a Mountain Ave. residence. As a result, Meghan D. Hennigan, of Norwood, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a class D substance.

4:50 p.m. - Officer filed a complaint application for a male trespassing on the train tracks near Lenox Ave. and Lenox St.

5:10 p.m. - Officer spoke with man trespassing on train tracks near Washington and Dean streets.

11:49 p.m. - Caller on Gay St. reported someone shot out his window with a BB gun. Police filed a report.

Saturday, Oct. 13

4:45 p.m. - Caller from LA Fitness reported seeing a white male and white female climb over a fence heading into the yards of homes behind there. Female was wearing gray sweats, male was wearing black sweats. Officers checked area and spoke to a couple of residents, nothing found.

6:24 p.m. - Police reported a black male in a red hoodie running from an officer on the train tracks near Lenox St. Three juveniles cooperated, police filed complaint applications for trespassing on the tracks for a 16-year-old and two 15-year-olds.

6:29 p.m. - Police apprehended and issued a complaint application for one juvenile (16) for trespassing on the train tracks near Washington and Chapel streets. Complaint application also filed for possession of Marijuana (under an ounce).

Sunday, Oct. 14

8:35 a.m. - Walk-in reported stolen motor vehicle from Olde Derby Rd. Police filed a report.

9:58 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident, car into hydrant, at Walpole St. One vehicle towed from the scene, police filed a report.

5:57 p.m. - Caller on Cottage St. reported someone entered their home. Police responded, filed a report.
