Norwood Police Log: Handicapped Parking Placard Stolen, Shoplifting from CVS

Wednesday, Oct. 31

9:18 a.m. - Caller on Lane Dr. reported theft of handicapped parking placard. Police filed a report.

1:00 p.m. - Caller at Dean and Washington streets reported two teens may have purchased drugs from the driver of a red motor vehicle. Stated one teen has a backpack and the other a vest with bright colors on the back. Officers located same and reported no drugs involved.

2:00 p.m. - Caller at CVS reported shoplifting. Stated items dropped by the suspect before running from store, ran past Shaw's and around the corner out of sight. Subject stopped on Monroe and Andrew by Officer Haldiman. Police filed a criminal complaint.

5:22 p.m. - Caller reported wires down on Chapel Ct. Norwood Fire responded.

8:16 p.m. - Caller at Washington and Nahatan streets reported his vehicle egged, and requested a check of the area. Officers checked area, nothing found.

8:42 p.m. - Officer reported four youths trespassing on railroad property. Police issued summons for four juveniles.

11:03 p.m. - Caller on Upland Rd. reported car crash with possible injury. Norwood Fire responded. Don & Wally's towed one vehicle from the scene.

11:32 p.m. - Caller at Norwood Hospital reported 2006 red Mercedes missing. Police issued BOLO to all cars, filed a report.

11:46 p.m. - Caller at the Rugged Bear on Lenox St. reported building vandalized. Police filed a report.
