Norwood Police Log Jan. 10: Christmas Tree Found in Middle of the Road

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police for Friday, Jan. 10.

8:45 a.m. Funeral escort for Kram-Kornack Funeral Home, from St. Mary's in East Walpole to National Cemetery in Bourne.
8:46: Walk-in to station reported hit and run from the day before. Officers spoke to both parties and found no intent. Papers were exchanged.
10:29 a.m. Caller reported unauthorized charges made to credit.
10:42 a.m. Dedham Savings Bank, Elm Street, Route 1, Dedham, reported a robbery. A be on the lookout was sent to all cars. Suspect was a white make, wearing a black cap with a brim and a black jacket. No weapon was seen.
10:45 a.m. Funeral escort for Gillooly Funeral Home, Walpole Street, from St. Catherine's to Highland Cemetery.
11:42 a.m. 30 MM round found in Bird Road home.
2:02 p.m. Report of pipes bursting and flooding Tremont Street home. Norwood Fire and DPW notified.
2:10 p.m. Resident reported they were the victim of a scam and lost money.
2:14 p.m. Officer responded to a fight in front of the Central Buick/GMC, Boston-Providence Highway. Party allegedly attempted to steal a car. Second suspect was said to have fled across the street. Arrested was Richard Cassano, 48, Metropolitan Avenue, Rosindale, larceny of a motor vehicle, warrant arrest.
2:43 p.m. Ocean State Job Lot, Boston-Providence Highway. White male, wearing a black coat, in his 20s and female, blond, possibly a few months pregnant in her 20s, were allegedly asking customers for money to buy medication. A report was filed.
4:16 p.m. Party reported car keyed in CVS Pharamacy, Nahattan Street, Officer said party isn't going to go through their insurance.
4:48 p.m. Party reported their ex-boyfriend wouldn't return her car. Officer spoke to both parties and vehicle was returned.
8:59 p.m. Caller reported loud music on Day Street. Officer spoke to them and they turned down the music.
10:59 p.m. A Christmas tree was in the middle of the road on Nahatan and Prospect Streets. Officer moved the tree off the road and the DPW was notified.
