Norwood Police Log Jan. 11:Norwood Police Assists State Police in Search

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log for Saturday, Jan. 11.

Saturday, Jan. 12:
1:20 a.m. State police reported a five car motor vehicle accident, Route 95, by exit 11. Norwood police and fire department responded.
1:53 a.m. Caller reported that a bang was coming from the Route 95 overpass. State Police called and stated occupants of a car tossed articles over the bridge to Union Street. State Police requested help from Norwood Police.
1:58 a.m. Car went into house on Monroe Street. Negoshian's towed vehicle.
2:39 p.m. Norwood police assisted State Police in locating an individual involved in an accident who left the scene.
3:05 a.m. Summons issued to juvenile for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
3:07 a.m. State Police had dogs tracking party for Route 95 motor vehicle accident. Norwood officers responded.
8:07 a.m. Resident reported they found an older Black Lab with a broken lead attached to a collar. Norwood animal control officer responded.
9:42 a.m. Funeral escort from Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home to Westwood.
12:02 a.m. Motor vehicle accident ROJO, Boston-Providence Highway.
12:10 a.m. Pedestrian struck sign at Coakley Middle School. DPW was notified.
1:10 p.m. Minor motor vehicle accident Union Street-Pilgrim Drive.
4:24 p.m. Caller reported credit card fraud at Dias Auto Detail.
6:18 p.m. Vehicle struck pole at Boston Market, Lenox Street, in parking lot.
8:34 p.m. Caller notified police of a pothole on Route 1 that caused a flat tire.
11:16 a.m. Caller reported a drunk man fighting with hospital staff outside in the parking lot. Officer responded. Party was inside the hospital and under control upon arrival.
