Norwood Police Log Jan. 6: Wild Turkey Sighting

The following information is from the Norwood Police logs. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police log for Jan. 4-6.

Monday, Jan. 6
9:31 a.m. A report of a sign knocked over on Central-Park Streets. DPW notified.
9:50 a.m. Traffic light problem on Washington-Everett Streets. Lights were on flash. Westwood police, Massachusetts Department of Transportation notified.
12:07 p.m. Pothole reported in high speed lane on Neponset River Bridge. D.O.T. notified. Officer spoke with caller and reported AAA was on the way to fix a flat tire in Dedham Medical parking lot.
12:34 p.m. A front end loader was reported to be dumping on the Boston-Providence Highway. Officer spoke with party and they said they would clear it up.
1:10 p.m. A report of a pothole on Neponset River Bridge. AAA fixed caller's flat tire.
1:11 p.m. Coke Cola truck took down a tree branch at Old Washington and Washington Streets. Officer reported it was on the sideline.
1:24 p.m. Officer reported a wild turkey in Washington Street-Heaton Avenue. Animal control notified.
2:46 p.m. Drain cover was raised on Morse Street, causing a hazard for traffic near Pleasant Street.
4:50 p.m. Caller reported a TT unit is unable to drive under the bridge and was backing up traffic on Dean Street. Officer assisted party.
6:20 p.m. Officers served an arrest warrant to Barbara Kim Allen, 51, Folan Avenue, Norwood.
6:54 p.m. A hit and run was reported at Home Depot, Boston-Providence Highway.
8:09 p.m. A loose manhole cover was reported on Morse Street.
9:01 p.m. Caller reported party was giving him trouble over a repossession of a vehicle on Oolah Avenue. Officer provided assistance.
11:10 p.m. Caller reported bat in Walnut Avenue residence. Animal Control removed the bat.
