Norwood Police Log: Multiple Break-ins, Fire and More

Thursday, Mar. 28

(1:42 p.m.) According to Norwood Police reports, a man broke into a home on Nahatan Street. State Police Helicopter and K-9 responded. John Lane was later arrested for breaking and entering and a report was filed.

(5:25 p.m.) A suspect broke into a home on Hickory Road. A report was filed.

Friday, Mar. 29

(10:26 a.m.) A car was vandalized on Washington Street. A report was filed.

(12:41 p.m.) Norwood police arrested a fugitive on court warrant.

(5:52 p.m.) An emblem was stolen off a vehicle. A report was filed.

Sunday, Mar. 31

(7:57 a.m.) A suspect broke into a vehicle on Pleasant Street. A report was filed.

(10:47 a.m.) There was a gas leak on Orleans Road. National Grid and the fire department were notified.

Monday, Apr. 1

(3:43 a.m.) There was a fire alarm on Prospect Street. Norwood Fire responded.

I've heard that a man was arrested for a break-in recently and may be related to the break-ins in the area. Is there any truth to this? It would be nice to know if this was a major break in this series of break ins in Norwood lately. Thanks Jack
