Norwood Police Log Nov. 22: Busy Day on the Roads

The following are incidents from the Norwood police log for Nov. 22.

9:57 a.m. A report gates were malfunctioning at Railroad Avenue and Hill Street. DPW notified.

10:08 a.m. Motor vehicle accident, Dean Street and Richland Street, motor vehicle accident, Norwood fire department sent, DPW notified for knocked over sign and for sand for fluids on the road.

12:18 p.m. Parent reported lost or stolen musical instrument from Oldham School. Principal was looking into the matter and was to report findings to an officer.

12:54 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, Ocean State Job Lot, Boston-Providence Highway. Witness reported a vehicle hit parked car. Driver entered store. Officer located both parties and papers were exchanged.

3:20 p.m. Larceny of a cell phone reported at Norwood High School.

4:16 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, Bertucci's, Boston-Providence Highway, parties reported minor damage.Officer spoke to both parties, didn't want to exchange papers.

4:36 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, delivery truck hit building at Sunrise Assisted Living, Saunders Road.

5:20 p.m. Norwood Hospital requested assistance with drunk party.

9:14 p.m. Motor vehicle accident at Prospect Street-Nahathan Street. Norwood Fire Department responded. Don and Wally's towed.

9:54 p.m. Report of utility pole on fire at Celtic Way. Norwood Fire Department handled and notified Light Department.

10:44 p.m. Motor vehicle accident at Winter Street-Maple Street. Caller reported single car into pole. Norwood Fire Department sent and Light Department notified of pole.
