Norwood Police Log: Nov. 23:No Hunting in Town
The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log.
Saturday, Nov. 23:
12:27 a.m.-Traffic light problem, Boston-Providence Highway-Union Street. State DPW and Norwood DPW notified.
12:53 a.m.-Noise complaint, Coventry Lane. Neighbors were being loud and banging on floor. Party spoken to.
7:52 a.m. Road hazard, TV thrown to the side of the report. State DPW and Norwood DPW notified.
8:17 a.m. Stolen truck recovered on Endicott Street.
10:15 a.m. Police escort, Kran-Kornack Funeral Home to Highland Cemetery.
12:32 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, papers exchanged, Ramp from Route 1 Southbound-Pendegast Circle. Norwood Fire Department responded.
12:49 a.m. Motor vehicle accident, Windsor Shell, Walpole Street. Papers were exchanged and parties left the area before officer arrived.
1:05 p.m. Motor vehicle accident Boston-Providence Highway-Sumner Street.
2:28 p.m. Violation of town bylaw, no hunting in Norwood. Hunter was licensed, but was in conservation land off of University Avenue.
2:50 p.m. Disabled vehicle with flat tire, University Avenue-Boston-Providence Highway. Officer waited for tow truck to arrive.
5:10 p.m. Disabled motor vehicle, Boston-Providence Highway-Dean Street. Car towed.
5:48 p.m. Motor vehicle stuck building at IA Pizza, Walpole Street. Fire Department sent. William C. Quinn, 52, Avon Road, Norwood. Charges operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, warrant arrest, OUI related offense with license suspended, possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
