Norwood Police Log Oct. 10: Hit and Run Accident Reported

The following information was provided by the Norwood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log.
Wednesday, Oct. 9:
6:42 a.m.: Motor vehicle stop, Winter Street-Cypress Street, citation fine.
7:07 a.m. Motor vehicle stop, Dean Street-Kerry Place, citation fine.
7:16 a.m. Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, Hazelwood Drive, caller says car broken into, change, book bag and laptop missing.
7:28 a.m. Malicious damage, Westover Parkway, report filed, regarding damage to a light pole in rear parking lot. Officer reports same pole now has a missing plate and wires exposed. Electric Light Department notified.
11:45 a.m. Minor motor accident, East Vernon Street.
12:10 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, Neponset-Dean Street.
1:05 p.m. Animal complaint, Rock Street, rabbit injured and barely moving. Animal control officer removed animal.
4:59 p.m. Motor vehicle stop, Nahatan Street and Broadway, Officer reported seeing act of road rage.

Thursday, Oct. 10:

9:38 a.m. Found syringe on roadway, Leyton Road-Nichols St.
10:03 a.m. Motor vehicle accident, Staples Office Supply, Boston-Providence Highway, report filed.
12:29 p.m. Minor motor vehicle accident, Boston-Providence Highway, papers exchanged. 2:18 p.m. Recovered motor vehicle, Avis Rent-A-Car, Access Road, No apparent damage.
 4:19 p.m. Report of hit and run, Neponset Street. Party said vehicle struck by another vehicle. Car kept going. 4:58 p.m. Trespassing. Home Depot parking lot. Car removed.
5:07 p.m. Animal complaint, Neponset Street. Cat in tree for last two days. NACO said there was nothing they could do and would call homeowner.
5:31 p.m. Citizen's complaint, Jaquar and Landover of Norwood, Neponset Street, Caller reports party didn't want to pay cab fee. Officer reports discrepancy over how much. Fare was paid in full after officer spoke with both parties.
