Norwood Police Log Oct. 16: Motor Vehicle Accidents Reported
The following are incidents from the Norwood Police Log.
Wednesday, Oct. 16
6:36 a.m.-Suspicious activity, Coventry Lane, bag dropped off side entrance. Officers checked it out and it appeared to be a lost bag.
7:43 a.m. Death at home, Village Road. NFD, M.E. C.P.A.C>, Norwood B.C.I. and funeral home all notified.
8:46 a.m. Motor vehicle accident, Dean Street, off ramp northbound. Fire department sent.
9:44 a.m. Be on the lookout. A stolen Ford Explorer, green, pulling a white utility trailer with "ESTEY" on side.
9:45 a.m. Funeral escort, Kraw-Kronack Funeral Home, St. Catherine's Highland Cemetery.
11:41 a.m. Drunk person, protective custody, Broadway Street. Subject passed out on a bench. Officer placed subject in protective custody.
12:20 p.m. Found Syringe, Davis Avenue. Officer took it to hospital for disposal.
12:44 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, Walnut-Winslow Avenues. Negoshians towed vehicle. Fire department responded.
1:38 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, papers exchanged, Boston-Providence Highway, fire department sent.
2:07 p.m. Warrant of apprehension, Norwood Hospital, Washington Street.
2:11 p.m. Larceny, St. George Avenue, as a result of B.C.I. investigation.
3:20 p.m. Disabled motor vehicle, AAA on the scene. Driver reported they were run off the road by a white truck.
4:25 p.m. Warrant service, Pleasant Street, One under arrest for warrants, Anthony F. Decosta, 26, Pleasant Street, Norwood, warrant arrest, resist arrest.
5:11 p.m. Larceny, Stop & Shop, Boston-Providence Highway, caller reports larceny of a diaper bag and prescriptions.
5:18 p.m. Disabled motor vehicle, Brookfield Road-Walpole Street, caller reported a possible crash. Officer reported disabled vehicle. AAA towed.
8:43 p.m. Motor vehicle, Dean Street, juvenile arrest, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and attaching plates.
8:43 p.m. Suspicious activity. Party into station to reported attempted B & E to vehicle.
10:32 p.m. Motor vehicle accident, Norwood Subaru Inc., Boston Providence Highway, Caller reported crash. Juvenile arrested for negligent operation of motor vehicle.
10:52 p.m. Suspicious activity, Arcadia Road. Someone knocked at door. Officer reported kids playing hide and seek. Group advised.
10:59 p.m. Kids gathering, Dean Street-Washington Street. Officer moved group of kids.
