Norwood Police Log: Person Offered to Clean Snow Off Neighbor's Car for Money or Prescription Drugs

Thursday- Feb. 7, 2013

11:43 p.m.- Caller on Roosevelt Ave. reported identity theft. Report filed.

11:49 p.m.- Motor vehicle accident. A woman hit a parked motor vehicle and a building.

12:46 p.m.- NPD arrested Adam Z. Lavallee, 25, of Norwood on an outstanding warrant.

3:28 p.m.- Caller reported an auto theft. The owner had lent the motor vehicle to a friends who has not returned it. The friend was arrested in Boston and the motor vehicle was towed at that time.

Friday- Feb. 8, 2013

1:03 a.m.- Caller reported that four youths were running across Rte. 1 back and forth. Officer checked the area. Gone on arrival.

2:30 p.m.- Walk-in reported that her landlord entered her apartment and then took off when she arrived home. Offier spoke to the tenant and the landlord. The tenent said she physically saw the landlord in the apartment. The landlord denied being in there. Tenant was satisfied.

6:42 p.m.- Domestic assault and battery. Report of a female yelling, someone may be bleeding. Ricot Similien, 32, of Norwood was arrested for alleged assault and battery.

Saturday- Feb. 9, 2013

7:49 a.m.- Report of a fire. Party came into the lobby and stated that his car caught fire.

12:00 p.m. Violation of a town bylaw. NPD received a report of a resident throwing snow back onto Neponset Street. Person was spoken to.

2:00 p.m.- A security guard at Norwood Hospital reported a past assault.

Sunday- Feb. 10, 2013

12:28 p.m.- Report of a traffic light blocked by snow at the intersection of Washington Street and Cottage Street. DPW notified.

2:35 p.m.- Caller reported that a neighbor's hired contractor for snow plowing was putting snow in the caller's driveway.

3:18 p.m.- Caller reported that a neighbor on Washington Street asked her if he could shovel out her car for money and/or prescription drugs. Officer spoke with both parties, they will stay away from each other.
