Norwood Police Log Sept.3-4: Reported Stolen Dog Found

The following information was provided by the Norwood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

This is the Norwood police log for Tuesday, Sept. 3.

9:27 a.m. Breaking and entering Endicott Street.

12:12 p.m. Wires down, Cottage Street-Washington Street.

3:28 p.m. Washington Street, suspicious vehicle. Officer reports driver inside eating a sandwich.

5:19 p.m. Staples Office Supply, passport found and turned in.

6: 08 p.m.-Motor vehicle accident, state dispatcher reports either car or debris came off the road and broke windshield. Driver covered in glass. Norwood Fire Department and State Police notified.

7:14 p.m. Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, Lewis Restaurant, Central Street. A dog was stolen, but owner found dog on Washington-Hoyle Street, tied to pole.

8:54 p.m.-Breaking and entering, Dunkin Donuts, Washington Street, West Roxbury, robbed at knife point. Subject described as a male, wearing a mask, black hoddie and blue Jeans.

10:37 p.m.-Suspicious vehicle, Laurel and Woodbine Roads, party using other people's WiFi. Spoken to by officer.

Wednesday, Sept. 4:

6:22 a.m.-Report of gas leak, Belmont Street and Bellevue Avenue. Norwood Fire Department reports order of gas and National Grid is notified.

7:28 a.m.-Motor vehicle accident, Coakley Middle School, Washington Street. Caller reports car rolled out of parking space and hit their car. Police responded for exchange of papers.

11:04 a.m.-Larceny, Norwood News & Book, Washington Street, phone removed from the store.

12:42 p.m.-Found Syringe, Fulton Street, Prospect Avenue. Capped syringe in roadway.

1:10 p.m.-Wanted subject arrested. District Attorney's office reports wanted subject sitting on gazebo in Norwood Common. Individual placed under arrest.

5:52 p.m.-Motor vehicle accident, Washington Street, Railroad Avenue. Norwood Fire Department responds.
