Norwood Police Log: Truck Stolen, Teens Arrested for Shooting Homes With BB Gun

Wednesday, Jan. 2

9:30 a.m. - Caller reported a hit and run at Washington and Nahatan streets. Police filed a report.

10:22 a.m. - Caller at Infinity of Norwood on Boston-Providence Highway reported larceny of rims from vehicle. Police filed a report.

1:00 p.m. - Caller reported theft of a red 2003 Ford F-350 with plow from the VW Gallery on Boston-Providence Highway. Police filed a report.

6:49 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident at Washington Street and Heaton Avenue. NFD responded. Two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

7:17 p.m. - Caller at Dairy Fine on Fulton Street reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle in progress. Units responded to area, spoke to victim, stopped some kids at Prospect/Cottage, did not produce a positive I.D. on suspect. Report filed.

Thursday, Jan. 3

4:51 a.m. - Caller on Washington Street stated there was a male in parking lot breaking into cars. Description was of a black male, wearing a leather jacket, and red thin cap. Units responded. Suspect fled on foot on Prospect Street. State Trooper Caneally and K9 unit arrived at 5:15, outside perimeter set up. At 6:09 a.m., K9 cleared. Negative results.

7:44 a.m. - Resident came into lobby to report her vehicle had been broken into over night at the Alden Park Apartments. Police filed a report.

9:05 a.m. - Caller reported vehicle broken into on Washington Street, nothing appeared to be missing. Police filed a report.

11:37 a.m. - Anti-Crime Officer Costa requested a car stop on a red Nissan. As a result of the stop, police arrested Kevin Patrick Cunningham and Laura Ann Tansey, both of Norwood, on drug possession and distribution charges.

4:45 p.m. - Resident on Alandale Parkway reported her house being hit with BB fire from above on the tracks, suspects three teen males. State K9 responded for males that ran from officers. As a result, police arrested three juveniles for vandalizing property.

5:15 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on Washington Street. NFD responded, two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.

5:48 p.m. - As the result of a Norwood Police investigation, police arrested Lucia M. Olefsky, of Norwood, for drug possession. Police filed a report.
