Norwood Police Seeking Suspect Involved in Attempted Queensboro Court Break-in

The suspect attempted to break-into a home, but fled on foot once police arrived.


On Tuesday around 9:50 p.m., Norwood Police received a phone call from a resident who heard a loud noise on Queensboro Street.  When police arrived they observed a black man attempting to gain access into a house through the rear window, but fled the area as the victim ran to a neighbors house.

"The Victim saw an object in the suspects hand, thinking it maybe a handgun. This is unconfirmed," Officer Kevin Grasso said. "Canton Police was requested and responded to assist with their K-9."

The K-9 tracked to a parking lot nearby and indications are that the suspect left in a vehicle."

According to reports, the suspect did not gain access to the home, but did cause some damage while attempting.

The suspect is being described as Black male in his 20s, 5'8 medium to thin build with short hair.
