Police Arrest Nine in Sobriety Checkpoint

Norwood and State police arrested nine people at a Route 1 sobriety checkpoint last weekend, according to a report in the Boston Globe.

Out of the nine people arrested, six were for operating under the influence of alcohol and one for operating under the influence of drugs. Police said that in two of the cases of drunk driving, there were sober passengers in the car.

The operation was shutdown early because of heavy fog.
