Norwood School Committee Chair Pleads 'Not Guilty' to Charges

William Plasko Jr. pleaded 'not guilty' in Dedham District Court Tuesday, to charges of indecent assault and breaking and entering.

Norwood School Committee Chairman William Plasko Jr. pleaded not guilty in Dedham District Court on Tuesday to charges of breaking and entering in the night time for a felony and indecent assault and battery, the District Attorney's office said.

Plasko was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 8, after a female came into the Norwood Police Department stating that she had been sexually assaulted by a person known to her, Norwood police said. The victim alleged that the 41-year-old Plasko, of 12 Rosedale Road in Norwood, had removed a screen from a window and entered into her home. She woke when she felt the defendant’s hands on her, screamed and yelled at the defendant to leave.

Police confirmed that the victim was an adult and knew Plasko.
