Two Dedham Residents Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Two Dedham residents were transported to hospital Sunday night with serious injuries after a single motorcycle crash on Interstate 93.

State Police said the operator, a 43-year-old Dedham was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital by medical helicopter with serious, life-threatening injuries after he lost control of his bike on Interstate 93 Southbound, at exit 2B in Canton just before 8 p.m..

The passenger, a 36-year-old Dedham woman was transported to the Norwood Hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries, state police said.

The accident forced police to shutdown  Interstate 93, North and South for a short period of time for the helicopter.  
 
State Police have not released the names of the victims.  The crash is still currently under investigation by troopers from the State Police Barracks in Milton.
