UPDATE ON ROUTE 93 CRASH: Biker in Serious Condition

By Tony Catinella

State Police listed the names of the operator and passenger who were seriously injured in a single motorcycle crash Sunday night on Interstate 93 in Canton.

Massachusetts State Trooper Dustin Fitch said the operator was identified as James Goode, 43, of Dedham. Goode is still listed in critical condition with serious, life-threatening injuries at the ICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Fitch said.

Investigators believe Goode lost control of his bike on Interstate 93 Southbound, at exit 2B in Canton just before 8 p.m. on Sunday.

His passenger, Katherine Paska, 36 of Dedham is still being threated with serious but non-life threatening injuries at the Norwood Hospital, police said.

The accident forced police to shutdown  Interstate 93, North and South for a short period of time for the helicopter to air lift Goode to the hospital.

The crash is still currently under investigation by troopers from the State Police Barracks in Milton.

Troopers assigned to the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, Canton Fire/EMS Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation assisted at this scene.
