Weekend Police Logs: Sept. 16-19

Highlights from the daily police logs.

Friday, Sept. 16

9:52 a.m. - Resident at Dean St. Apartments reported vandalism to the dumpster enclosures. Police filed a report.

1:05 p.m. - Caller reported suspicious activity at Hannaford's the previous day. A man told the caller to keep a close eye on her four-year-old as another man was watching her. Caller was uncertain if there was another male. Officers to check Hannaford's.

8:06 p.m. - Caller states her vehicle was broken into while parked at Acupulco's restaurant on Boston-Providence Highway. Police filed a report.

Saturday, Sept. 17

1:00 p.m. - Jeep section of Central Chrylser Jeep and Dodge of Norwood reported a raccoon roaming around the area. Call was referred to Norwood Animal Control.

2:43 p.m. - Caller on Nahatan St. reported a neighbor throwing eggs on to the caller's driveway. Responding officer spoke to both parties, matter resolved.

4:36 p.m. - Caller reported a hit and run near Washington and Chapel streets. Offender fled down Washington St. towards South Norwood. Police filed a report.

9:32 p.m. - Caller reported groups of kids ringing doorbells and taking off in the area of Richland Rd. Officers responded, found nothing.

Sunday, Sept. 18

1:21 a.m. - Police arrested Denzell D. Rowell of Norwood for assault and battery after receiving a call to Davis Ave. Police filed a report.

9:20 a.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering of a motor vehicle at Plymouth Dr. Police filed a report.

4:32 p.m. - Police responded to Work Out World on Route 1, after receiving a call that two males were in a verbal disagreement over a water bottle. Officer resolved the matter.

5:25 p.m. - Caller reported someone broke into her car on Plymouth Dr. Police filed a report.
