Norwood Native Donnelly Joins Middlesex District Attorney's Office

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that Norwood native Shaun Donnelly has been hired as a new Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

Donnelly, a Boston resident, is a graduate of Boston University Law School.  He is assigned to the Woburn District Court.

 “We’re thrilled to welcome Shaun to our Woburn District Court team,” District Attorney Ryan said. “He has proven his commitment to public service with his work with the federal courts and he will be a valuable asset to our team.”

Donnelly worked three years as a paralegal in New York City before enrolling in Boston University School of Law where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Public Interest Law Journal.  While in law school, Donnelly interned with the FBI, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and was a judicial intern for Judge Thompson at the U.S. Court of Appeals.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has hired 10 new lawyers as part of its 2013 fall class. The new ADAs have been assigned to the district courts throughout Middlesex County, including Framingham, Malden, Cambridge, Lowell, Woburn and Somerville.  The new lawyers will add much needed staffing to the district courts in Middlesex County, which handle more than 30,000 cases each year.
