Norwood Residential Tax Rates Vs. Its Neighbors

How much does it cost to live in Norwood?

According to the Boston Business Journal, Norwood stacks up pretty poorly against some of its neighbors in terms of commercial industrial tax rates, at least in some areas, but is the least expensive town among Mansfield, Sharon, Wrentham, Norfolk, Norton, Franklin, Easton, Plainville, Brockton and Foxborough (as of fiscal year 2012) when it comes to residential rates.

Chilmark on Martha’s Vineyard has the lowest residential property tax rate in the state at 2.08 flat rate between commercial/industrial. Sharon has the highest residential tax rate (also with a flat split) in Massachusetts at 20.11 percent.

Everette had the highest commercial/industrial tax rate at 41.66 percent, and Chilmark also had the lowest rate in commercial/industrial at 2.08 percent.
