Norwood Selectmen to Hear License Transfer

The Norwood selectmen will be meeting Monday, Dec. 23, at the town hall at 7 p.m.

Here's the agenda for the meeting:

New Business

  1. Norwood Knights of Columbus, Council 252, John Paras:
    Submitting request for one day AAB and dance permits for the following:
    Sat. December 14, 2013 from 8 p.m. to midnight; Sat. December 28, 2013 from 8 p.m. to midnight and Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

  2. Katie Nguyen, Owner, Fresh Fro Yo, 642 Washington Street:
    Submitting request to close for the winter months. She would like to close on December 8th and open on March 10th as her business is slow in the winter.

  3. Joseph Bartucca 11 Cross Street :
    Submitting petition with 6 names requesting withdrawal of the Chapter 40R applications and tabling of Planning Board votes re Plimpton/Regal Press Apartments until the 1 1⁄2% information can be confirmed by the Town. Chairman requests this be tabled for one week.

  4. Courtney Murray, State Publications & Regulations Division:
    Submitting Chapter 151 of the Acts of 2013 which was signed by the Governor on Nov. 25, 2013; an act authorizing the Town of Norwood to Make Certain Changes in Use of Certain Land for the Construction and Operation of a Regional indoor ice Skating Rink and Recreation Center.

  5. Bill Reyelt, Principal Planner, Smart Growth Programs:
    Submitting Plimpton Press Smart Growth District 40R Application-Completeness Review. Chairman is working on this.

    Unfinished Business

1. ABCC
Submitting final approval of the transfer of Wine & Malt Beverage from Siam Foods, Inc. dba Mint Café to Bamboo Café Inc., 663 Washington Street.
