On Oct. 1, Norwood's Public Access Television (NPA-TV) will be launching a full-time Government Access Channel.
"NPA-TV is expanding its government coverage and this increase has created the need to consolidate the broadcast of government meetings onto one channel," a press release from NPA-TV Government Access Coordinator Amy Tobey said.
Town Selectmen meetings and School Committee currently are broadcast on the Town and School channels respectively, both live and recorded after the fact.
Community Announcements will continue to be posted on the School and Town Channels.
"NPA-TV is proud of its current government coverage," Tobey's statement said. "It is our hope that this channel provides insight and information so viewers can learn how decisions are made in the Town of Norwood."
Norwood Public Access Television is a not-for-profit corporation run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The channel will be broadcast on Norwood Light Broadband channel 24, Comcast channel 22 and Verizon channel 33.
