TELL US: What is the Most Important Issue for Town Meeting?

Tonight will begin a Special Town Meeting to vote on 22 articles approved by the Board of Selectmen - which is most important to you?

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. the Norwood Town Meeting members will meet in the Performing Arts Center at the Norwood High School to discuss and vote on 22 articles presented in the Special Town Meeting Warrant.

Issues on the warrant include the appropriation of funds for renovations to the Town Hall, granting authority to the Permanent Building Construction Committee to take action on building a concession stand at the new high school football fields, the recission of the Strong Chief Law and many others.

Article 5 on the warrant addresses the feasibility and traffic studies on the proposed Norwood hockey rink. While the article calls for the appropriation of funds for the study, at - which should cover the expense of both studies.

Selectmen Chair Michael Lyons said at the meeting that the vote of the Town Meeting members on this article would be "basically conceptual," to find out whether or not the community would approve of the project in general.
