Visions for Vacancies: Joe & Maria's

What would you like to see take the place of Joe & Maria's at the Hampton Inn on Rte. 1?

Drive around Norwood and you'll notice far too many empty storefronts and buildings.

This week, we're continuing our "Visions for Vacancies" series where we showcase an empty storefront in town and ask you what should take up the space.

So today we ask you, what should go in the restaurant space at the Hampton Inn on Rte. 1 that used to be Joe & Maria's?

Joe and Maria's was a family-owned Italian restaurant. It was founded in 1991 as a pizza shop and moved to the larger location in 2004, then closed its doors in June of 2012.

What do you think should go in the location? Another Italian restaurant? A pizzeria? A bar or coffee shop? Tell us in comments!
