Good News Friday: Norwood Students Earn Dean's List Honors

The following students from Norwood have been the Dean's List at their colleges.

-Vittoria Spada was named to the Dean's List at Saint Joseph's College of Maine for the fall semester. To be eligible for Dean's list, a student must attain an average of 3.5 or better. The school is located in Standish.

-Richard Harrington has been named to the Dean's List at Dean College in Franklin for the Fall 2013 semester. Students are eligible to be named to the Dean's List if they have successfully completed an academic course load of no fewer than 12 credit hours per semester and have earned a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher with no grade below a B-.

-Norwood students were named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire. On the list were Nolan Binney, honors, Callie Brown, honors, Jennie Marinucci, highest honors, Paul Panetta, honors and Courtney Schick, highest honors. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

-Sandra Mastinggal was named to the Dean's List as Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

-The following students were named to the Dean's List at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Anna Baturin, a mathematics major, Jason Fogarty, business administration major, Christopher Kelleher, sound recording technology major, Anthony Pitaro, exercise physiology major and Nikolas Viahos, sound recording technology. To qualify for the dean's list at UMass Lowell, a student must have completed no fewer than 12 graded credits for the semester and earned at least a 3.25 grade point average with no grade lower than C and without any incompletes.

-Tara Hersey, a senior marketing major, Richard Saad, a freshman, undeclared major and Danielle Wood, a freshman management major were named to the Dean's List at Bryant University.

-Teresa Gassoway, a junior majoring in history, been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Hofstra University. Students who began their studies before Fall 2012 must earn at least a 3.4 grade point average to qualify. Those who entered the university after Fall 2012 must earn a grade point average of 3.5. Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Herman A. Berliner congratulates these students on their impressive academic achievement.
