Local Salons' Cuts Raise Money for Childrens Hospital

Two Norwood salons are participating in HAIRraising for Childrens Hospital on Sunday, April 29.

This coming Sunday, April 29, people in Norwood and all over New England will be able to try a new hairstyle - and do a good deed at the same time.

Some of the region's top salons are coming together in support of HAIRraising for Children's Hospital Boston. For the third year, salons will go to all lengths for kids as part of HAIRraising for Children’s Hospital Boston founded by hair legend, John Frieda of John Frieda Hair Care and John Frieda Salons, and his business partner, Gail Federici.

For a minimum $40 donation, customers will receive a haircut and all proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital Boston.

“We're so grateful to the salon community for coming together to support Children’s Hospital Boston,” said Frieda. "The funds raised by salons will help Children's Hospital Boston continue to provide the highest standard of care for sick children and support ground-breaking research and life-saving cures that truly impact us all.”

In the past two years, over 100 salons from Boston, New England and across the nation have participated in HAIRraising. This year’s event includes over seventy salons, including and in Norwood and is expected to raise $100,000 for Children’s Hospital Boston.
