Nominations Open for Norwood Citizen of the Year Award

This is the 13th year the Rotary Club will be giving out the service award.

Nomination forms are now available for the Rotary Club's 13th annual Norwood Citizen of the Year award.

The award is given to honor an individual residing or working in Norwood who has made a special contribution to the community and who exemplifies Rotary’s Club’s motto, “Service above self.”

"There are many in our community who share Rotary’s commitment to meet the needs and touch the lives of our Norwood residents through humanitarian and educational projects," the Norwood Rotary statement reads. "The Award Committee welcomes all nominations."

Previous recipients of the award include Rosemary Riley, Paula Peleggi, Bernice Wenstrom, Anne Benson, Jane Giblin, Maria Henry, Paul Nicholson, Bob Tibbetts and Ted Callahan, Ruth Taeger, Pat Gavin and Robert Smith. 

This year’s recipient will be honored at the Norwood Rotary Club’s 86th annual Banquet and Installation of Officers to be held on Wednesday, June 20.
