Registration Open for the 3rd Annual 'Miles for Liam' 5K

In the past two years this event has raised $13,000 for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research through the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Norwood Fire Department Local #1631, and Liam’s L.E.E.P will be holding the 3rd annual "Miles for Liam" 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, Sept. 23.

Approximately three years ago, Liam McGourty, 5, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a neuromuscular disease that primarily affects boys ages 2-6. In 2011, more than 200 people ran and walked in the 2nd Annual Miles for Liam 5K. The event raised more than $6,000. In two years this event has raised $13,000 for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research through the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
