The following are meeting and events happening in Norwood this week.
-The Norwood Board of Assessors will be meeting Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the town hall, room 37, at 11 a.m.
-The Norwood Housing Authority will be holding an open public meeting, at the Housing Authority's Administrative Office. 40 William Shyne Circle.
-The Norwood School Committee will be meeting Wednesday, Jan. 22. at the James R. Savage Educational Center, 275 Prospect St.
-There will be a blood pressure clinic at the Frank Walsh Housing Complex, William Shyne Circle, Thursday, Jan. 23, from 10-11 a.m.
-James Hayden, the Norwood superintendent of schools, announced that the school's kindergarten registration will be held the week of Feb. 10-14, at the George F. Willett Early Childhood Center, 100 Westover Parkway, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a session Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is very important that parents and guardians register their child during this week. In order to be eligible for kindergarten in September of 2014, a child must be five-years-old on or before Aug. 31, 2014.
