He was the beloved husband of Pamela O’Neil-Clifford, devoted father of Patrick Joseph Clifford of Norwood and the late Erin Denise Clifford, grandfather of the late Caleb and Robert Clifford, loving brother of Denise M. Clifford of West Roxbury, brother in law of Paula and Donald Hartney of Lynn and also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be from the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. (From Folson Funeral Home) Rene Joseph “Ray” Masse, a resident of Norwood for 65 years, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. He was 98. Ray was born April 26, 1915 in Reading, a son of Louis and Adele (Dumoullin) Masse. Ray graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Boston College with the Class of 1937. He joined the US Army in 1944 and spent 20 months in the Pacific Theatre as a member of the 224th Ordnance Ammunition Renovation Company where he supervised the renovation of defective ammunition. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and went to work at the Jamaica Plain Veteran’s Administration Hospital where he was the Chief Purchasing Agent for 25 years until his retirement in 1972. …
Mr. John F. Noble worked at Norwood Hospital in his retirement.

Ruth B. (Berry) Austin, of Dedham, formerly of Independence, MO and Hanover, N.H., died May 29, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Austin, devoted mother of Lynne K. Austin of Dedham, Peter B. Austin of Independence, MO, and Jeffery R. Austin of Atlanta, GA., loving grandmother of Drew Tuckett of New York City, Katherine Tuckett of Boston, and Hayley Tuckett of Dedham. A Memorial Service will be held for Ruth on Saturday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at the United Parish of Auburndale, 64 Hancock St. Newton, MA 02466. Relatives and friends kindly invited. (Gillooly Funeral Home) Rita Lloy (Milan) Brown, 89, of Norwood, died May 29, 2013 at the Blaire House in Milford,, after a period of declining health. She is survived by Robert Brown, her husband of 27 years, and was predeceased by her husband Donald Lloy, who passed away in 1982. Born in Milford, the daughter of the late John and Mary Milan, she was raised and educated in Milford and later moved to Franklin, where she lived for many years after which she moved to Braintree. She worked at the Quincy Visiting Nurse Association in Quincy before moving to Norwood, and was a volunteer at Norwood Hospital until last year. Mrs. Anello was the loving sister of the late Mary Ghiringhelli. Cherished grandmother of Adriana, Laura, Joseph, Dominic and Andrew and the great grandmother of Mirah.
