UPDATE: Mass. State Trooper Hospitalized After His Cruiser Was Struck on I-95
A state police cruiser was struck by a pickup truck early this morning on 95, injuring a state trooper, Fox 25 reported.
UPDATE: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26 A release from the Mass. State Police this morning stated that the driver of the pickup truck that struck a state police cruiser early this morning on I-95 in Norwood will be cited for operating to endanger and marked lanes violation. According to the release, the trooper had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters. "He was conscious and alert but was in pain and was transported by EMS to Boston Medical Center for examination," the release states. A male occupant of the pickup was also transported by EMS for an arm injury. The identity of the trooper is not being released at this time.
