Norwood Residents Arrested on Drug Charges in Walpole Weeks After Previous Charges Dropped

Brothers Dejan and Peter Katic were arrested in Walpole last Thursday, less than two weeks after similar charges brought by Norwood Police were dismissed due to the mishandling of drug samples by state Department of Public Health chemist Annie Dookhan.

On Thursday, Jan. 24, Walpole Police arrested 27-year-old Dejan Katic and 24-year-old Peter Katic, along with 27-year-old Derek Boutilier, also of Norwood, after a surveillance unit witnessed a hand-to-hand drug transaction. According to a Norwood Police press release, a Walpole Police detective saw Dejan Katic sell heroin to Boutilier at Katic’s place of business. Prosecutor Resigns After Emails with Dookhan Revealed

Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey accepted prosecutor George Papachristos's resignation Wednesday. Papachristos was investigated by state police over his email correspondence with crime lab chemist Annie Dookhan.

A Norfolk County Assistant District Attorney has resigned in the wake of a State Police investigation of his relationship with Jamaica Plain Crime Lab "Rogue Chemist" Annie Dookhan. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey released a short statement about the resignation late Wednesday afternoon:  After discussions with his supervisors, Assistant District Attorney George Papachristos has offered his resignation and District Attorney Michael Morrissey has agreed to accept it.
