Norwood Artist Finds Inspiration in Taking Risks
Mark Del Guidice spoke about everything from his creative process to a very important motto for life.
Since 1987, nationally recognized studio furniture artist Mark Del Guidice has been creating intricate, unique, personalized pieces of furniture in his Norwood studio - virtually unknown to the community around him. Del Guidice describes himself as a designer, an artist and a craftsman. During a summer break while attending Boston State College for Psychology, Mark helped his friend's father build 66 Winter St., in Norwood. "That was my first experience with woodworking," he said. "So, I went back to school, finished my degree, graduated and got a job working for Star Market overseeing 80-plus employees, doing the daily 9-5 grind.
