Congressman Lynch Requests Hearings on Increase in Attacks on U.S. Service Members

Lynch, U.S. Representative for the Ninth District in Massachusetts which includes Norwood, has called for hearings into the increase of attacks on U.S. service members and coalition troops by Afghan security forces. As a member of the Oversight Subcommittee on National Security, Homeland Defense and Foreign Operations, Lynch has visited Afghanistan frequently. In a letter to Chairman Darrell Issa and Ranking Member Elijah Cummings of the Congressional Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Lynch expressed his concern over the so-called “Green on Blue” attacks and requested the Committee hold hearings to investigate the rise in these incidents.
